2. How often is the Guide updated?

  • We monitor legislative and regulatory developments on a continual basis and update the Guide when the legal requirements change.

3. How will I know when something has changed?

  • We send e-Alerts to the email address you provide as part of your profile. There is also an area of the guide that lists recent changes.

4. How do I find the information I am looking for?

  • Information is organized by location (State & Federal) and topic. Subscribers are provided drill down cababilities. Each topic has the author’s interpretation of the law along with links to the actual law. The Guide also offers robust search functionality that includes search by topic, jurisdiction, keywords, and phrases.

6. My company doesn't make outbound calls; is the Guide relevant for us?

  • Yes. Many requirements apply to companies that conduct sales during inbound calls (registration, purchase disclosures, call recording, etc.).

7. My company is exempt from the DNC laws, and we do not make sales calls. Do we still need the guide?

  • Since no goods/services/solutions are solicited to consumers, most of the telemarketing laws do not apply. Here are portions of the Guide that do apply to non-solicitation calls:
